Strong communication and people skills, both written and verbal. Supervise systems administrators, prioritize Network Operations Center (NOC) activities, delegate duties and responsibilities. Document NOC operations, processes and procedures. Configure user accounts, e-mail, Symantec Anti-Virus, domain resource access, operating system upgrades. Make support escalation decisions. Manage and monitor network connectivity and security using NetCool, Hewlett-Packard Service Desk, Aperture, Vantive. Monitor and follow-up on suspension, reinstatement and disconnection requests. 12 months.

Upgrade 10Base2 network to 10BaseT 10/100, star topology, including physically moving entire network from one building to another. Integrate LAN with corporate WAN. Define, identify and resolve network security issues systematically and quickly. Troubleshoot TCP/IP applications. Supervise systems administrators. Perform, supervise, delegate, prioritize maintenance including hardware/software upgrades and configuration changes for network elements - routers, switches, hubs, firewall, servers, etc. Specify, research, and purchase new hardware and software for user productivity and network improvement. Design, plan, test, implement all network enhancements. Document operation standards and recovery procedures. Oversee production backup and recovery. Internet/Intranet/Extranet management including IIS 3-5, DNS, WINS, DHCP, NAT. Configure and maintain user accounts with MS Exchange 5.5. Supervise and perform installation of hardware and software on production servers. Coordinate new employee workstation and telephone setup. Update and troubleshoot telephone system. Liaison with telephone services and telecommunications carriers (T1, ISDN, analog). Make support escalation decisions. Provide Tier 3 support. Hire and supervise contractors as needed. 15 months.

Evaluate, manage and redesign the central computer communications networks, and improve communication security, for over a dozen Seattle-area work sites. Manage a highly heterogeneous network of over 100 computers. Systems analysis, database development and integration using Access, Timberline, and proprietary Access database applications. 4 months.
